Work stalled on Fr. Mathew Halll
Construction work on the controversial
art gallery project at Fr. Mathew Hal has been halted after
possible archaeological find.
Builders have unearthed a structure adjacent to the hall and
archaeologists have been called in to carry out an excavation
to determine if it is possibly part of the medieval town defences,
namely the Connaught Tower.
