A Victorian Gothic Revival church, built on the site of the
Priory of SS Peter and Paul, dating from the thirteenth century.
In 1804 the Church of Ireland erected a church on this site.
It was demolished to allow construction of the present church
in 1843.
The church was closed by the Church of Ireland in 1941 and used
as a church hall and later as a warehouse until donated to Roman
Catholic Church in 1992. The church grounds was donated as a
public park in 1985. It is in use as a Catholic Church in the
Tridentine Rite.
