St. Patrick's Day parade
As part of our heritage awareness programme, Athlone Architectural
Heritage Group entered a float in the 2010 St. Patrick's
Day Parade, commemorating the hardship endured by the
citizens who had to reside in the town's workhouse during

We have been officially informed by the St. Patrick's
Day Parade committee that our float has won the overall
prize.
